Introduction

Born in Tokyo, Yuuko Suzuki graduated from Kunitachi College of Music in 1990.

She pursued her graduate studies at the Hartt College of Music at the University of Hartford, where she met Professor Luiz de Moura Castro — a Brazilian pianist whose influence inspired her to specialise in performing Brazilian classical music. She received a Master of Music degree in 1992 and an Artist Diploma in 1993.
